John Smialek, first trumpet, is a Swansea, Massachusetts native and current resident. He received his Master of Music degree from Northwestern University where he studied with Vincent Cichowicz of the Chicago Symphony. As a freelance musician John has performed extensively as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles, musical theatre and with various symphony orchestras, including the Cape Cod, Plymouth, New Bedford and Springfield Symphonies. He also teaches instrumental music in the Seekonk, Massachusetts Public Schools.

Brooks Holmes, second trumpet, hails from Scituate, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he received a Master of Music Degree in Trumpet Performance. As a student of Walter Chesnut, he performed with the UMass faculty brass quintet and was principal trumpet of the Five College Orchestra. Brooks has also performed with the Pioneer Valley Symphony and the Massachusetts Wind Ensemble. He is Director of Instrumental Music in the Easthampton Public Schools and is an adjunct faculty member of Bay Path College.

Trombonist Kenneth Longstreeth, a Pittsfield, Massachusetts native, currently lives in Hatfield, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Westfield State College. In addition to performing with many western Massachusetts area jazz ensembles, Ken has performed with the Ice Capades Orchestra, Englebert Humperdink, Marvin Hamlish, Bob Eberly and Gloria Loring. Ken has also performed with the Massachusetts Wind Orchestra. He is presently teaching instrumental music in the Hatfield, Massachusetts Public Schools and serves as the band director at Smith Academy.

Originally from Stoneham, Massachusetts, bass trombonist Stephen Glover received a Master of Music degree from the University of Connecticut, where he studied piano with Joseph Villa. In addition to further piano studies with L. Kenneth Manzer, Steve also studied the bass trombone with Edward Foster of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. He is currently an assistant professor at Landmark College in Putney, Vermont. He previously taught music at the MacDuffie School in Springfield, Massachusetts. A Greenfield, Massachusetts resident, Steve also serves the quartet as its chief arranger and announcer.
