  The Compaq Big Band is a 21-piece jazz ensemble headquartered at Compaq Computer Corporation in Marlboro, MA.
Formerly the DECbigband, founded in March 1975 by employees of Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), the band is a non-profit group providing high quality, affordable big band music for listening and dancing to a range of non-profit, civic, corporate, and private clients in the Greater Boston, Greater Worcester, and Southern New Hampshire regions. Members are current Compaq employees, former employees of Compaq and Digital, and other talented area big band musicians. Their library of over 700 charts contains swing and big band era standards from bands and arrangers such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Woody Hermann, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Sammy Nestico, Tom Kubis, and others.
